Winter isn't just white, and it's not always cold. A Season Changed is an 18x24-inch original completed in 2025 by landscape artist Jeanette Johnson. This vertical landscape depicts the transition from winter to spring as the snow melts. Winter grasses bend, and the remnants of the last snow start to melt, creating reflections of the changing sky above.
 
This painting features texture across the clouds, grasses, and melting stream. The pink, purple, and ochre color palette depicts the warmth of sunset in March across the Great Plains.
