Upon Wings of White – Acrylic and Modeling Paste on Canvas
36"x124" | Original Painting by Jeanette Johnson
2026
Apart from the traditional migration of ducks and geese across the plains, there are also trumpeter swans. Upon Wings of White is a 24x36-inch original completed in 2026 by landscape artist Jeanette Johnson. This vertical landscape captures the calm of an early morning on the Platte River as a group of trumpeter swans departs for new waters further north.
This painting features texture across the reeds and swans. The line of cottonwood trees along the far bank shows purple in the early morning light and sets off the pinks and blues of the sky.
Why this painting belongs in your space:
- Large scale for big impact – this piece is large enough to anchor a medium-sized wall.
- Soft and serene – calm and graceful like the swan itself.
- Ready to hang – this piece features a 1.5" gallery wrap with painted edges and has a wire hanger installed. You can hang as is for a raw, unassuming look, or frame to match your decor.
